Our History...
MexAmerica Foods was founded by Pennsylvania natives Gerry and Sue Riddle who came to know the tast of truly fine Mexican food while living in the American southwest. There they learned how to make delicious and economical meals the authentic Mexican way and, in 1987, after moving back home to Pennsylvania to raise their family, decided to bring that knowledge to the east coast. After months of effort, Gerry and Sue arrived at their own special formulation that enabled them to duplicate and mass-produce fresh tortillas much like those they found in the southwest.
Today, MexAmerica Foods is a modern tortilla and corn chip bakery that ships its top quality, fresh Mexican food products daily throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwestern United States. Although the ownership of MexAmerica changed in 2008, Gerry and Sue remain close to offer council to the new owners as needed. MexAmerica products are only shipped fresh, never frozen, and are generally delivered to grocers, wholesalers, restaurants, and food service companies within forty-eight hours of being manufactured.
